Website grader for local businesses
A general website grade is about code: speed, tags, security. A local business also needs to know something simpler. When a customer lands on your site, can they reach you? Type your website and this grader reads it the way a customer would, then gives it a Front Desk Score out of 100.
Built only from what your public website says, plus Google’s public page-speed test. The preview is not live, and not connected to your phone or calendar. We see the website you type, your three answers and, if you leave it, your email; nothing else.
What gets graded
Missed calls
It reads the opening hours and the phone number on your site and counts the hours a week when nobody answers.
Slow replies
It looks at how your home page offers to reach you: WhatsApp, a chat, or only a form.
Your website
It takes how long a phone waits for your main content, from Google’s data, and checks whether the home page has a clear next step: a call, WhatsApp, booking link or form.
Three questions you answer
Whether your team wastes time looking for files, prices or past answers; copies the same information between tools; and researches leads or writes proposals by hand.
How local business websites grade today
We ran the same checks on 775 local business websites in 4 cities, drawn from Google Maps searches, from 7 to 8 October 2026.
| City | Websites checked | Hours closed a week (median) | No WhatsApp and no chat | Over 3 s on a phone | No clear next step |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Miami | 221 | 123 | 82% | 19% | 7% |
| Dubai | 205 | 108 | 27% | 70% | 6% |
| London | 183 | 116 | 66% | 14% | 5% |
| Recife | 166 | 115 | 15% | 41% | 7% |
How the speed part is measured
The grader asks Google how long phones wait for your page’s main content. When Google has data from real visitors to your site, it uses that. When it does not, it uses Google’s test on a simulated slow phone, and the report says which one you got.
The two are not the same thing: the simulated test runs on a slow phone and a slow connection. In our study, the sites with real-visitor data had a median of 2.4 seconds (423 sites), and the sites measured only by the simulated test had a median of 7.6 seconds (649 sites). They are different sites, so read a simulated number as a stress test, not as what your visitors get.

What a grade cannot tell you
- It reads your public website only, the pages any visitor sees. It is not connected to your phone, your WhatsApp, your calendar or your inbox.
- Closed hours come from the hours your site publishes. If the site lists none, that check says so instead of guessing.
- It is not an SEO audit or a security scan: it does not look at keywords, backlinks or vulnerabilities.
- Three of the five gaps come from your own yes-or-no answers, so they are as accurate as the answers.
Questions
Is this the same as PageSpeed Insights?
No. The speed figure comes from the same Google data that PageSpeed Insights shows. The grade adds what that tool does not look at: your opening hours, how a customer can reach you, and whether the home page has a next step.
My site does not list opening hours. Does it still work?
Yes. The report says the hours are missing and grades the rest.
We have several locations.
It reads the hours of each location on the site and counts the hours a week when none of them is open.
Is it free?
Yes. There is nothing to sign up for, and leaving your email is optional.
